Applying vertical spacing changes to existing score

Hi,

I’m using Dorico 5 on a Mac. I have a lead sheet with two bars landing on a second page. I want to reduce the vertical spacing to fit the entire score on a single page. I reset the staff-to staff distance in Vertical Spacing and push Apply. The score remains unchanged. What am I missing?

I’m guessing here, but if it’s a lead sheet, then it probably has only one staff. If so, then it’s the system to system gap you are interested in.

Thank you, Janus. That makes sense. But when I reduce the system-to-system gap from 10 spaces to 7 and Apply, the original score doesn’t change. Do I need to select some part of the score first?
