Are Nuendo and Cubase converging into a single application?

Perhaps that is a blazingly obvious question, but I’ve never personally considered it.

On quick inspection it seems as if only three things separate Nuendo and Cubase:

Re-Conforming
ADR
Game Audio Engine integration

Granted, these aren’t small things to those who use them, but if that’s it, and if the code bases are largely the same, why wouldn’t Steiny offer a true “Cubendo” solution? Or make available the three things listed above as paid for add-ons to Cubase. (I would like to have the Game Audio Engine Integration please.)

Thoughts?

There is a lot more than that that differs. And in answer to the question, no.

Is there something that outlines what those differences are in a succinct list?
