Are Sampler tracks using audio channels?

Hi,
… Or Instruments tracks? I didn’t see any specs on this. So, say I have 40 audio tracks in Cubase Elements, do I have 8 tracks left to use as Sampler tracks? If I have 22 Instruments tracks running, do I have 2 tracks left to be used by Sampler tracks? Thanks.

You can try this yourself. Create empty audio tracks until you hit the limit, then do the same for instrument tracks and sampler tracks.

I tried creating 32 Sampler tracks, Cubase Elements created 24. So, that seems to be the limit.
