Are there any good podcasts the focus on music production techniques (not the busines of ...)

I spend more time on podcasts than TV these days. There is a diversity of information out there on many different subjects and disciplines.

I have been looking for a regular podcast series that talks about the job of recording, mixing, mastering etc. I have found a few where the host interviews people who apparently have some good pedigrees, but all the ones I have found were just people chatting about the business, and I really don’t get much from that.

I realize that an audio podcast may not be the best vehicle for covering music production techniques, because so much of our technology relies on good GUIs for a productive workflow. Nonetheless, I thought there might at least be a weekly podcast that reviews important developments or something like that. So far I have come up blank.

Has anybody discovered music production podcasts they found useful?

Hi,

I really enjoyed the “UBK Happy Funtime Hour” with Gregory Scott (founder House of Kush, analog gear and plugins) and Nathan Daniels (mixing engineer). Not only informative but also very entertaining - there’s a special energy between these dudes.

Very good news: Seems like they have revived the podcast two days ago. I will definetly give it a go!
You’ll find their podcast on all usual platforms but the link above also lists all their old podcasts. If you like their podcast you will be pleased to have access to all of their old episodes, too.

ENJOY!
