Are user interface issues solved now?

While running a trial of C13 some time ago it was unable to work with because of terrific UI issues. Interface elements were often freezing: I could not move hitpoints, close the folder with tracks, etc. Also got some crashes during work with Variaudio
Is it now a time to buy an upgrade?

Interesting…

Am in a similar situation - only started running the Trial a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully haven’t seen any major (graphic/UI) glitches here thus far…

So I guess running the recent C13.0.21 update won’t update an existing C13.0.20 Trial, in order to check these UI updates for oneself.? Haven’t tried requesting a new Trial - nor downloaded it anyway, to run it and see what happens…

Dunno. Might all get tricky… might invalidate any remaining Trial time…

Wonder if SB were to consider allowing this, somehow, just for this very reason… (extend existing Trial with new update, or allow a whole new Trial period with C13.0.21), for those who have already started running a Trial…?

So in the meantime, sorry, I can’t offer any clues myself. Maybe some others will report here with positive news. Though there’s nothing like trying something on your actual system, and seeing for yourself.

@steve @Martin.Jirsak - any thoughts.?

I believe you should be able to update a trial installation to 13.0.21 if you still have a valid trial license. The timing of the trial is handled by Steinberg Licensing, not the specific application.

Those who want a new trial because their trial licence ran out and the issues meant 13.0.20 or earlier were unusable for them will likely need to contact Steinberg Support.

Ok, sounds good - makes sense. Thanks for that @David_W

Over the OP to decide what next… :slightly_smiling_face:

There’s one problem - I don’t see 13.0.21 update for MacOS

There is no 13.0.21 update for macOS because the only issue fixed in 13.0.21 was Windows-specific.

So I need to wait untill 13.0.30 out and ask for an extra trial?

If you encountered an issue with 13.0.20 and earlier, that would seem to be a reasonable way ahead. When you contact Steinberg Support, I would stress that an issue made earlier public builds of Cubase 13 unusable on your system, which is why you ended your previous trial without purchasing.

I cannot guarantee that Steinberg will allow an additional trial period - I don’t work for them. However, it would seem to me to be in their interests and your interests to do so in the circumstances.
