Hi folks, is there a way to globally correct the spacing of arpeggio marks when the chord has accidentals?
Not currently, but I agree (with my Dorico user hat on) that it would be helpful!
It would be great if the following aspects could be considered:
- has/has not accidentals
- if “has not”, has/has note ledger lines
And give separate gaps for them.
I currently use a slightly bigger one for everything (which covers accidentals and ledger, 2 out of 3) and then manually adjust the rest.
I just tried entering some with and without leger lines, and Dorico does appear to accommodate those.
Perhaps I got some mixed results, I will see if I can post some examples.
More ugly default arpeggios:
Agreed, but it’s difficult to see how those could be avoided.
(I’m guessing that’s a grand staff, so could you perhaps move the bottom chord onto the lower stave?)
Are these supposed to be simultaneously rolled in each hand? That’s what this notation indicates to me. If you want them rolled as 6-note chords, you can apply the arpeggio to all the notes at once to get one line.
You’re correct, they are supposed to be rolled in each hand individually.
