currently only tracks with midi or audio events are selected when navigating thru track selection using up and down arrow keys. How can I set so arrow up / down to will select tacks even if they’re empty ?
This happens if there is already a part/event selected in the project window. If no part is selected, i.e. the tracks’ list has the focus, you can navigate freely. In order to deselect parts you can use the command “Select None”, I think by default assigned to Ctrl+Shift+A.
The option “Auto Select Events Under Cursor” in Preferences, can revert back the selection obviously. In order to have consistent behaviour you may want to uncheck it, or have it assigned to a shortcut for toggling.
You’re absolutely right. Strangely enough, I gave this one a try before answering and it didn’t work (?) Now it works totally fine 
And now I see that there are new emoticons added, not just a heart.
I predict this will open some strange gates
