Articulations and slurs relative position

Hello,

At the moment, in Engraving Options, articulations are grouped by nature when deciding the slur position :

• Marcato and Accent
• Staccato and Staccatissimo
• Stress and unstress
  Since the main factor is graphical rather than functional, it would be better to be able to decide independently for each articulation how the slur should be positioned.

For instance (see example below), I would like to have the staccato dot below the slur, but the staccatissimo above since the latter is a tall symbol that distorts the slur considerably. I hope this would get considered for future releases.

in the Properties Panel you can override those Global Engraving Options case by case:

Hi Christian, yes indeed I am aware of it, but I was suggesting to make it possible to set this globally across the project in engraving mode.
