I’m writing a piece forString quartet using artificial harmonics. Every book on arranging I’ve read shows the diamond note-head to be one fourth above the fingered note, to produce a harmonic 2 octaves higher.
In Dorico, I could only get it so the diamond head is one octave above the fingered note.
I’ve tried different settings, for instance the “pinch” setting under “style” for artificial harmonics, which didn’t change anything. How can I get the diamond head to be a perfect fourth above the fingered note, as seems to be common practice?
That was it, Lillie. Thank you very much!
