ASIO configured, nothing records

Hi everyone,

I just got a new TASCAM US-4x4 with Cubase Elements 8. I am TOTALLY new to Cubase and digital recording.

The first time I tried to record, I got the message that ASIO was not configured. I was able to set it thanks to the tutorial.

Now, when I click on record, the cursor move, but nothing records at all. I am sure there is a simple solution to this. Any suggestion to a novice and total beginner to Cubase would be most welcome.

As well, any suggestion for a book or web site with instructions how to use it would also be most welcome.

Make sure the Tascam ASIO driver is installed and selected in Cubase.
Sound like you are running it with a generic ASIO driver.
