Any known issues with ASIO4ALL on this? We just recently upgraded our suite from 4 to 9. YES - big jump!
Audio / midi playback (sometimes) “bitcrushy” -adjusting buffer helps (sometimes)

Check if this helps - from manual about Project setup dialog:
“Volume Max
Allows you to specify the maximum fader level. By default, this is set to +12 dB.
If you load projects that were created with Cubase versions older than 5.5, this
value is set to the old default value of +6 dB.”
It may be that headroom needs to be adjusted for the upgrade you did.
