Assign a half/whole note head?

Hey all,

Is there a way to assign half/whole note heads to a smaller value? I want to make the e of 3 a white notehead to indicate a crossover (tenor drums).

You can create a custom Notehead Set where you simply substitute the black notehead for the white one. Save it as a default for future projects, if you want. Then right-click the note(s) you want to change, the custom set should appear under the Notehead sub-menu.

if you don’t want to follow the above advice (because creating new Notehead Sets can be tricky..) you could try to select that notehead and from the Notehead Menu choose one of the diamond noteheads, like these:
