AT 2020 USB Mic not showing up as Input in Nuendo

Hey Everyone,

Complete Nuendo Noob here. I’m having no end of issues with trying to get Nuendo to see my AT2020 USB mic as an input to do some voice over recordings. It just won’t see it. Any ideas, or tutorials? I’ve exhausted the google searches, and nothing has helped. Thanks in advance.

Depending on your OS, you’re going to have to install an ASIO driver for this, or if on MacOS create an aggregate device. There’s no “direct USB audio mic” support outside of the ASIO driver for Windows or the appropriate device/aggregate core audio in MacOS (If your mic operates like other standard USB/BT mic input devices).

If on Windows, there are ways of configuring something like ASIO4ALL to create aggregate devices so that you can record and monitor at the same time, but I’ll have to let Windows folks help with that one.

Hey Mighty Thor,

Thanks for this. I had found ASIO4ALL in my Google Search, but wasn’t sure if it was the correct tool in this case.

You got it - I’m not much help with the ASIO side since I use MacOS, but this thread may help:

And this one:

I’ll presume there’s nothing different about your USB mic insofar as the setup goes, so hopefully this can give you something to go on
