There are problems with updates to the latest version of Synchron Player, seemingly associated with (updates to?) Synchron Strings Pro.
Suggest reading this thread before updating in Vienna Assistant.
The good people at VSL are on it - as usual

Thank you VSL is very imporrant to me.

Same here.
I have a feeling that this will be fixed by the end of the week. And can confirm that the ‘meanwhile’ fix suggested in that forum thread does work. Then - presumably - it will just be a question of waiting for them to make the updated, working files available again.
I’m assuming that for those of us who don’t have Synchron Strings Pro that there will be no issues? Anyway, I can easily wait - it seems like only a couple of weeks ago I last updated the Synchron player.
Not sure about that, @dko22; it’s not really clear to me what part those (strangely much smaller than they surely should be) sample files may be playing in what does appear to be a corrupt zip file.
Yes. Suggest waiting. This is very unusual for VSL. I feel confident that they’ll fix it soon
.
thanks for the advice. I’ll wait until there is a new version with fix, then. Just finished writing a piano quartet with all VSL instruments and had no issues with my build.
Marnix at VSL has confirmed that their developers have identified whatever was causing the failures; and that it’s now ‘safe’ to download/update/install both the latest version (v. 1.3.2993) of Synchron Player and those seven files of Synchron Strings Pro - using Vienna Assistant.
I have done this successfully.
Usual excellent VSL solution. Everything OK again.
