some attributes ie. plugin name, vendor for some vstpresets in mediabay are blank, until u click on them before they display. Its confusing because it shows for some VST presets of the same plugin. I know it’s trivial, but I need to distinguish presets for effect plugins from instruments when previewing VST presets in Mediabay.
Funny side story, I used to use Cubase without installing Mediabay, aka. mediaserver. I didn’t have this issue back then until I installed it.
The easiest way to fix this is to load up those presets in a given folder so that they are showing their plugin name and other information. Give them all a rating (1-5 stars, doesn’t matter) and that should save all the relevant information within the preset and make them visible in mediabay.
for a number of reasons I can’t have this as a solution. I think a good way will be to do a logical filter for plugins i don’t wanna see, leaving only instruments. I suggested this feature cld u help vote it, if you think its useful
Any files that are inside of VSTsound containers such as factory soundbanks only show a certain set of attributes until selected. It’s just the way it is. Duration is one of them.
