Audio at slower tempos.

I’m confused. I recorded an audio track and i’m trying to make it tight. I’d like to be able to slow the audio down to slower tempo temporary so I can hear it it’s matching the beats or not (Some notes don’t have a peak in the signal) but when I change the tempo it only plays back my midi at the lower tempo, while the audio track plays at the same rate it was recorded. Any Idea’s. I’m sorry if this is a stupid question. Cubase has kinda be a nightmare to learn for me, but it’s truely much more powerful in the editing sense than my last DAW. Thanks.

You need to set your audio to musical mode. How this is done best depends on the audio files themselves (fixed tempo, varying tempo…?).Theres plenty written about that on the forums, and also in the manual
