In the option pop-up windows for Audio CD Import I’m not able to select my external CD Drive (iMac with internal CDRW is not working well anymore). The USB drive works fine with all other applications on Mac.
Still using OS10.14 / WLP10.0

This has always been a little tricky in my experience. I think it’s because of some Apple permissions logistics.
Usually, if you start with the CD ejected, and then open the CD Import dialogue box, it will then let you see the optical drive. Then it should be safe to insert the CD and it will appear as an option to import it.
Sometimes you have to play around with it a bit.
