Audio Connections, must stop playback, recording... issue

Hi,

I’ve just updated to v10 (from 8.5 on this particular machine). When editing Audio Connection prefs I get the error message, “To open Audio Preferences you must stop playback, recording, and monitoring.”

I’m doing none of those things as far as I can tell. No file open, no record window open and I can’t even find the input monitor control.

Any help appreciated. (It is working as per my 8.5 prefs but one does like to double check these things and know what’s going on)

Using RME PCI card and external A/D/A

To things you can try:

  • Press the Stop button on the Transport bar, while pressing Control (or Command on Mac).
    If that is not enough, just quit and relaunch WaveLab.
