hi, this has been a problem in previous versions of cubase and not just 8, i hope somebody can shed some light as i can’t for the life of me seem to be able to sort it. Basically, whenever i try and add a track or press the on/off switch on an effects plug in, the audio temporarily stops and starts again causing silence for less than a second. Is this something i can stop or is it just how it is? Any light on this would be great. Thanks
This is just the way it is with Cubase. Many DAWs do this… especially if they are compensating for latency; the audio engine needs to start over to sync all the tracks.
In fact, I’d be suspicious of any DAW that didn’t do this, 'cos latency wouldn’t be compensated-for until you stopped and started playback again.
