Audio Device not connect on boot up

This is an issue that is driving me crazy because it only happens on the first file I open when starting the computer (macOS Sonoma 14.2/Nuendo 12.0.40):

  • no sound is playing
  • Audio Outputs is ‘Not Connected’

Once I’ve connected my UA Apollo Twin everything works fine until I shut off the computer.

Is there a way for Nuendo to remember this setting?

I have the same issue. Creating a template with all the I/O s to my Apollo helped retain the audio settings. However, if this is happening every time you open a project then it might be UA.

Thanks Walter. Unfortunately this only happens on the first file of the day.
What I’m doing is opening a MIDI file in Nuendo. First file has the problem, subsequently Nuendo remembers my setting.
