I have attached a photo of the pop up window. I set up a project from the start up menu for acoustic and vocal, selected my focusrite 616 for in / outputs. When i try to record i get so far and recording stops with this pop up. I haven’t made any changes to the computer other than defaulting to my focusrite for my sound.

Download and run LatencyMon and see what it says.
List your o/s and some computer specs…whether you have a laptop or a desktop, processor speed, amount of ram, type of hard drive/exactly what Cubase version you are using.
Also open performance monitor in Cubase and note if it spikes when the audio drops out.
