Hello ! Same for me with Nuendo 14, Intel U 9285H, Windows 11 pro. Also disable power throttling. Nuendo 14 work as a charm on 3 others computers with half power of this one… If you have other ideas to check I’m aware. (Already push power setup to highest, no usb bus pause, plane mode, etc… It happened with both RME & yamaha interface, and also DVS…)
Check if the Nuendo 15 folder is exempt from anti-virus scans. What antivirus do you have? Also, did prior versions worked smoothly? How did you migrate your profiles and preferences? Have you run it in safe mode, disabling all third-party plugins?
There must be something wrong, as those are capable machines. I’m still on a 8700k machine, with no problems, PCI interface, running Nuendo 14 and a lot of orchestral libraries in Kontakt.
For a start:
Oppdate driver for Prosonus studio 18/24c, if you havent.
Check that you have the dedicated Presonus ASIO driver selected.
Are the buffersetting for Prosonus studio 18/24c too low?
For you and EVERYONE with tech issues, try list as many parameters of your setup as possible.
For example, the GRAPHICS CARD, and if you use a dual screen setup.
Tip on windows try disabling the Nahimic Service (windows search services, scroll, disable)

Ok so I tested it this afternoon with full safe mode, all plugins unactivated, and all preferences. Re install it… I also checked Nuendo 13, 14 and 15 and all made me this random stop on this computer (who is one of the most powerfull I have in the studio) (I run 300 tracks projects full of plugins and atmos mix with it without any crashs…).
Airplane mode, all antivirus disabled. Powerthrottling disabled…
With reaper its recording like a charm for hours and hours, and I have 4 other windows 10 and 11 computers working for years now with Nuendo (up to Nuendo 14), without any bug like this.
I test with and without Hidpi, with and without asio guard, all power setup to "100%, no standby, no usb standby etc…) Only 5 to 10% of the core are used during the recording process, but after 10 minutes, 30, sometimes 1h10… It stops with this message “Erreur d’enregistrement - décrochage audio détecté”
If you have other ideas I would be glad to test it.
The Nahimic Services was recommended to me to be shut down by a friendly Steinberg guy. Seemed to help me. But if not on your setup, then it is something else.
Before I paste this list, STABILITY and PERFORMANCE are my absolute priorities for new versions of Cubase / Nuendo. I hope Steinberg places more focus and energy on that.
The list below is a bunch of stuff I collected after months of going through hundreds of posts trying to fix my setup dropouts and OS crashes running Cubase 14 pro.
In the Windows OS:
Disable all power saving settings Power Settings to high performance
Disable USB selective suspend setting
Disable the USB Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power setting USB Hub power off
Disable disk defragmentation for SSD drives
Disable as many startup programs as possible
Disable Windows telemetry
Search for advanced system settings > background services
O&O Shutup, disable telemetry
SERVICES
Disable Nahimic, from Steinberg forum post, causes dual screen issues and freeze (Win search Services)
disable Nvidia Container service? tried, does not seem to help
Disable : Diagnostic Policy Service ? DPC, Cubase, Windows - #61 by itsmeuy
Disable Windows Search, Start Services, Windows Search, Properties disable
WINDOWS
disable widgets, disable game bar and Xbox services,
System>Notifications>Additional Settings>disable
Consider moving off Windows build 26200
Try disable CPU 0? After each start, right click Process affinity disable 0
Process Lasso to exclude CPU 0 for Cubase for good. Helped me a lot.
Second - instead of Steinberg Power scheme I use QuickCPU app and use their max performance power plan and CPU settings. Asio guard went down by 50%
Task Manager – Disabling Start-up entries + Set Details>audiodg to high priority
