OK, it worked but the dropouts are plenty now when I play the keys while Dorico is playing a file.

Dorico’s audio engine is derived from Cubase but did not inherit 100% of the capabilities. One of them is to switch off ASIO-Guard automatically in the “live path”. In Dorico it is in general on or off. In Cubase, does a track go into monitoring then that one track gets ASIO-Guard switched off while all others continue in ASIO-Guard on. It is an old feature request to get that same behaviour for Dorico.
So far we did not pursue this, because there was low demand in the field.

I guess I just wont play whilst Dorico is playing then… Notation is my main goal.
