Audio Dropouts after upgrading from Elements to Pro

Hi there,

I recently upgraded from Elements 9 to Pro 9.5.

After upgrading, I am getting audio dropouts in both playback and recording. However, there are no noticeable dropouts when I use my existing Elements 9 installation. Also, there are no dropouts when using the same audio interface on my Macbook Pro with Elements 9. Dropouts at first occurred every now and then, but now it’ll happen 2 - 3 times during length of a song. Just as an example of how frequently it’s happening. Makes recording and mixing quite annoying and, honestly, feeling of buyers remorse.

Here’s my specs:

Computer:
imac Retina 5k 27 inch,
4.2GHZ Intel Core i7
32gb 2400MHz DDR4 Ram
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Interface:
Roland Octacapture - Driver 1.5.4 (Latest)

Transport window shows about 1/4 resource usage

They seem to be getting more and more frequent. I really just want to be able to resolve this problem.
Any help would be fantastic! Is there a diagnostic tool that i can run to highlight any issues?

I should also note, I also have Logic Pro. Came with the computer - I’m just not a fan. Giving that a go, I don’t seem to get dropouts with that either.

Bump.
