Audio dropouts vst 1.4.13

I’m having random dropouts with ver 1.4.13. Running win 11 and no plugins active at all. Only audio files ( 8 stereo per song, 44.1.Khz). Don’t know what to do anymore, any suggestions?

Is it version related? What is your audio interface, and blocksize (latency)? And are your audio files on a mechanical harddisk?

Don’t know if the version plays any role here… I’m using a Presonus 16.0.2 as audio interface, with 512. Yes VST on external hardisk mechanical ( I’ll move a test directory to an internal M2 and check)

For the app/program it makes no difference if harddisk or ssd, but it certainly does for audio or video files.
