Not sure why this has been an ongoing problem for a quite some time so I figured I’d consult the forum. Pretty much every time I start up Dorico I get a 20 second wait before the audio engine basically forces me to terminate the application. I noticed a larger thread discussing this issue but couldn’t find examples that matched my situation. Probably an easy fix but would appreciate the insight.

Do you have hundreds of third-party plug-ins – particularly any that require licence checks of their own?
Not to my knowledge but I can check. What would you recommend in terms sorting them out between the VST engine/Steinberg library and Dorico?
I think it’s a case for @Ulf to diagnose, but you seem to have a bunch of errors about connecting to the Audio Engine.
There was a long topic about long VST check and load times here recently. Sorry I don’t have the link. But @Ulf provided a way to turn that of for diagnostic purposes. Do a forum search, you’ll find it.
