Audio Export completely failing

Hi Dorico team,

Every time I try to export audio it crashes the VST audio engine, which is incredibly frustrating because I needed to export the audio today and was completely blindsided by this issue.

Here are the strategies I’ve tried to fix the issue:

Restarting the computer.
Deleting the VST audio engine folder inside a .zip file of the dorio file.
Exporting single movements at once.
Updating and performing maintenance tasks with the eliscenser control.

It will not stop crashing and playback will not work after I’ve tried exporting the audio.

Apparently my .zip file of my dorico project is too large to attach.

Is there a fix to this issue?

Thanks!

I’m not the right person to answer your question, but you’re more likely to get a useful answer if you give details:

What version of Dorico?
What VSTs?
What operating system?

Better still, do Help > Create Diagnostic Report and attach the resulting zip file (which will be on your desktop).

@danielrobertvega: If your file is too big, you could use some other file transfer service like e.g. https://wetransfer.com/ or Dropbox. In that case please use ‘u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de’ as recipient.
Also, as mentioned by pianoleo, please additionally send a Diagnostic Report. That will help us greately. Thanks

I’m using Dorico 3.
The only VST I am using is Halion Symphonic Orchestra
Using Windows 10.

I’ll send the diagnostic report via email.

I use the workaround to record audio by an external application (f.eg. Audacity) using a virtual loopback soundcard (on Mac it is called soundflower)
