Audio Export: Why is there a random patting-like noise when I export audio in Dorico?

Hi,
Whenever I export an audio of a piece of mine, it has a random patting-like sounds constantly when I export the audio. I know Dorico is why it does it, as all the other audio files I export from different places don’t contain this noise. It has only just started as before they were completely fine.

Equally it only occurs when the instrument/instruments are playing.
Please may someone help me?

You need to change the buffer size in Edit > Device Settings > Device Control Panel.

Basically, either your CPU or disk can’t keep up, so you need to ‘cut it some slack’.

Thanks for your help. I decreased the audio buffer size from medium to small and it is now fine.
