Audio File Character Limit? (Mac)

Hey there -

Is there a character limit on audio file names generated from recording?

Example. I’m printing stems in real time through stereo audio tracks (all at once, but I don’t typically bounce - I record.)

The main track is named: Mont 1m5 Creating the Perfect Union v1_full_1.07.08.19
Stems are something like: Mont 1m5 Creating the Perfect Union v1_orch

But in the pool and audio files folder they’re showing up at: Mont 1m5 Creating the Perfect Un_01, Mont 1m5 Creating the Perfect Un_02

Cutting off my names! I know I can bounce with longer names…but this is unfortunate. Anyway around it I hope?

And interesting that there’s no problem renaming them in the pool to the full track name. (then they also change in the finder)

Same Problem in Nuendo 12 Win10. Any Way to improve this ?
