Hi, I have a problem with playing music in Dorico 5.
one or more than one instrument gets muted automatically and randomly
Now It happens per a measure so I can’t keep writing music.
What should I do?
I would like to chime in, exactly the same thing happens to me too. There is a difference though, on that computer I am still using Dorico Pro version 4. I have a midi keyboard connected which has a flaky Pitch Bend wheel. It sometimes sends midi messages by itself causing out of tune playback. I wonder wether there might be something that could trigger a “mute” message.
What does the Dorico mixer show, is there some channel muted?
From HALion Sonic point of view nothing is muted. But does actually MIDI arrive at HALion? When HALion receives MIDI data the numbers in front of the slots shall light up as well as the MIDI indicator at the top of the HALion window. It’s the icon that looks like a traditional MIDI connector from the old days.
And have you tried reapplying a playback template, does that maybe make things working again? If not, while the project is loaded, please do from the menu Help > Create Diagnostics Report and post the corresponding zip file here. Thanks
