Hi Izak,
That’s exactly what I want, however slicing the track is required first. The slicing operation doesn’t just slice though, it adds gaps between each slice rendering the audio unusable.
Well, in theory…
- put the audio track on Linear Time Base
- open the Pool
- look at the bpm value written there for your audio clip
- back in the project window switch off the tempo track, enter the bpm value from the clip as the project’s tempo
- perform the slicing
- switch on the tempo track again
- and if you like switch the track back to Musical Time Base
or…
- Create events instead of slices.
Maybe Events is the button I use. ![]()
Hi Johnny,
Unfortunately that did not work for me. Thanks for the detailed response though!
Pauly
Hi Kearly - Well, there we go… That worked for me!
Im still confused as to why it was so hard, and slicing doesnt work, but onward and upward.
Thanks so much
Pauly
Now I am confused. Maybe my last post was too long, too many letters. I will try to keep this in mind for the future.
Events. But like I said, I’m kind of lazy and so I’ve never tried learning the differences. Maybe I’ll do that now, ha.
Hi Johnny,
No - I really appreciated the detailed response! I was able to follow your procedure however without success. There are so many variables, I have no idea why it didnt work. Again - Thanks!
Well, my last point was: forget about anything I said before and just create events instead of slices. I even made a screenshot showing it. But I assume it got lost in the more complicated procedure that preceeded it.
Glad it works now for you.
Ah I see what you are saying now - I followed your procedure step by step, but missed the “Or…” part! Sorry about that, and again, thanks
Pauly
