I have to offload my VST’s to Cubase via MIDI endpoints for various reasons (project is too large for Dorico to really handle and needing more sophisticated mixing and MIDI editing/recording.) Thing is that Dorico’s Export Audio is super handy for temps. Are there any VST’s that will listen to a sound device bus and just play that back? My interface has a hardware loopback so I can have it sit on that. In other words the VST ignores MIDI and just spits out audio. Will Dorico ‘listen’ to it if nothing is assigned to the interface? Maybe I’ll have to assign a dummy (would rather not) or maybe the Chord playback track or something.
I did a bunch of searches but am not finding the right terms for this.
