I am trying to set my audio input, in Wavelab 12 under; File>>,Preferences>> Audio Connections>> Recording>> but in the list of connections for the UAD 8p the one sitting at the very top cannot be moved down, yet the one directly below it cannot be moved up past it either, so therefore the preferred/necessary connection choice cannot be chosen. I am going crazy trying to get this done so that I can get on with the work at hand.does has anyone encountered this problem, if so would you mind sharing how you solved it.
I’ve tried that, but the assignment does not stick. Each time I create a track to record on, I have to assign the input on the track itself which to be honest is not only annoying, but also very distracting. Why can’t I specify the default/mandatory input?
Assigning an input on a track is another setting.
If you want a specific input to be persistent, set a given montage, then create a montage template out of it. When later you create a montage from the template, the desired input will be set.
Normally, this sticks. What input is restored when loading WaveLab?
If you are starting WaveLab with the startup assistant, try this:
Close the Audio Connection dialog, like on the picture.
Run WaveLab
Set your audio connection settings as desired.
Quit WaveLab
Run WaveLab. This time, the audio connection dialog will not open.
PG1, thank you for the information. In the master section there is a microphone icon which has another icon to the right which opens up a dialogue of options which include the input Bus. I set it there and that worked. I’ve got one more questions to ask(hopefully not in violation).
I use a Xtouch surface and have successfully programed the transport buttons, except for the scroll wheel and the zoom. Are there any resource pertaining to the Xtouch that would help me to get this done?
