Audio intermittently dropping out on just the guitar tracks

I have a lengthy 11 minute song with lots of tracks and layering going on. I have a beefy PC that is more than capable of handling the work load.
I’ve been experiencing intermittent audio drop out on just my double track guitar takes. I’ve tried disabling the vst effects, changing buffer rate, etc…
I just don’t know what’s going on with it. Anyone else experiencing this?

Could you test your system by using LatencyMon utility, please?

Try to increase the Buffer Size.

Make sure, you have no Trial/Demo plug-in in use.

Even top of the range PCs suffer from audio bottlenecks. As @Martin.Jirsak says, try increasing the buffer size on your audio interface (which unit are you using BTW?).

That will probably mean too much latency to record more audio on a low buffer size, but that shouldn’t matter for monitoring/mixing.
