I’m having issues with volume when I activate musical mode on my audio parts? It’s confusing the hell out of me. It’s around 3db louder and thus peaking when musical mode is activated, when it’s not it’s back to normal volume.

That sounds more like you are Enabling Musical Timebase for the Track. You can set Musical Mode by using the checkboxes in the Pool. Or in the Project Window Select the Audio and Enable it using the Info Line.
In any case changing Musical Mode or Musical Timebase shouldn’t impact the signal levels.
The time stretching algorithm can alter the volume. Are you experiencing it on drum tracks? But it should not affect the entire audio signal, probably rather some peaks.
Try using a different time stretch algorithm (Info Line) and have a listen if that changes anything.

Look at the Info Line in the project - where it say “Algorithm”. Change it from elastique to Standard Drums for example.
Your example in the video, BTW, is not set into Musical Mode, so there will be no automatic time-stretching anyways.
