Audio mixdown is empty, but only in Cubase

I will ask here before bothering support

I export an audio file with effects within the locators and an audio file is produced.

I know it works as I imported it successfully into Reaper.

If i try and import it into Cubase, either the same project or a new one, i just get a stereo track with straight lines and no sound

Choosing the option to export into wavelab, i get the same straight lines and no sound.

As i can umport into another daw with no problems, I am at a loss as to what the problem is.

I have read a few posts about the same sort of problem, but none that match my problem

Any help would be great thanks

This sounds very unusual.
Could you provide more specs about the file type and describe your import process, please? Screenshots are always highly appreciated to narrow down a problem

Thank you for answering

Will do re screenshot, but i was just going to update my post, as i have looked into it a bit more and as I had exported 3 wav files, i tried the other two, and they imported into reaper with identical lines!

I’m beginning to think this could be user error, so please don’t waste any more of your time until I find out what I have done differently between the three exports..

I thought I had tried all three back into Cubase, but I have successfully imported the file that Reaper liked and it was successful

Although I don’t remember doing anything different, I could have, as this is my first experience in exporting a mixdown.

There is still the strange result of it exporting into wavelab with just lines and no audio, although all file sizes were the same.

I will start writing down exactly what i do and try and find out if it’s me

Thanks again

Hey,

if you still encounter this problem I would be very interested in the fault files.
