Audio Mixdown - Padding an MP3 with silence

When performing an audio mixdown could we have an optional lead-in and lead-out duration to insert silence at the beginning and/or end of the resulting MP3?

VLC and SoundCloud tend to drop a few frames before playback starts which causes loss of audio at the first beat. It would be helpful to add 250-500ms of silence before the first frame of audio.

(Maybe this exists already?)

You can go into Project Setup, and under Project Time Displays, set Time Offset (Bars+Beats) to some positive number (or just set Time Offset).
