I was adding a simple 4 to the bar kick to a new tune using GA SE5 with Cubase 14Pro on my relatively new PC but finding the audio output associated with it would stop after a while - I’d have it on loop and tracks with other instruments continued to play fine. If I add a new instrument track with GA it behaved ok for a while in that I can record and playback a rhythm. The GA instrument pads directly and when triggered by my external Nektar Impact LX49+ midi keyboard. Sometimes the midi output from the Impact registers on the transport midi in meter but doesn’t trigger any sound but this may be a different matter (the track monitor is on). So I can have a sittuation where the bass drum midi has stopped giving any audio output but when I open a fresh instance of GA and copy the midi over it will play. Of course it stops after a while and I have failed work out why. Once I was editing the volume of individual bass drum notes but another time I’m sure it was just looping when the drum sound stopped. This isn’t affecting Halion Sonic.
FYI I use the cubase control room. I also output the bass drum track to a drum group track.
This has been driving me nuts over the last few hours so I’d welcome advice from the experts out there.
**UPDATE - a few days later I used GA5 rather than SE5 I didn’t get the problem (well not yet anyway!)
many thanks, Simon
