Audio Performance Problems

I’m using Cubase Pro 9.5, with an Asus laptop (high speed processor and 12Gb RAM), Windows 10, and UAD Apollo Twin USB. Everything has been working fine up until a couple of days ago, when the audio suddenly started stuttering badly and coming to a complete standstill. When this happens, I bring up the audio performance meter, and can see that the average load and real-time peak meters are hitting overload.

I’ve tried increasing the buffer settings in the Apollo Twin device panel, which made no difference, and also froze the VST instruments in my project, and again this made no difference. I am really puzzled why this should suddenly start happening. It began shortly after inserting a Soundtoys ‘Echoboy’ plug-in on an FX channel, but I wouldn’t have thought that would make a difference, and I’ve removed the plug-in from the project.

Any advice / possible solutions would be much appreciated!

Hi,

Try to increase the Buffer Size of your Audio Device, please.
