I load a montage and press play and Windows tries to load a steinberg USB driver. It then hangs on this and I have to close Wavelab. Thinking I may have to reset the audio device to get my RME I re-open Wavelab and go to prefs. In setting the audio from there I get the same thing.
I have the RME set in Cubase and it has always been fine before in Wavelab. I guess this has changed in a recent update, but any suggestions as to what is wrong?
Look in the registry at this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO
WaveLab will try to load these drivers.
You could try to temporarily remove these keys to see if that changes something.
One solution is to erase the CLSID variable.
Later, whether you paste the values again, to restore the info. You could also reinstall the drivers.
