Hi how do i modulate the speed of just 1 wav, like have a ramp that slows down or speeds up its speed, like can with a tempo track but just on a wav instead of the entire song?
thnks
Do you need the pitch to stay intact or do you want it to follow?
pitch intact
thanks
pitch intact
thanks
This wasn’t as easy as I thought, maybe someone can show you a more elegant solution.
-Move the audio event to a new audio track, after the end of the project.
-Make sure that the tempo there matches the tempo at that place you originally want the event to be in
(-Copy other audio to the same place for reference if you like but make sure these are on tracks with a linear time base)
-Switch the time base of the track from Linear to Musical
-Open the audio editor of the event and switch the definition to musical
-Make a tempo track and create a curve that matches the tempo variation you seek, play around with different algorithms in the audio editor to find one that gives the least (or most if you’re into that stuff) artifacts.
-In the audio editor, choose “Flatten” under the “Process” section.
Up until now I’ve never missed it, but suddenly I ask myself why the “Time stretch” process doesn’t have an envelope window like the “Pitch shift” has.
thnks twinoak, yeh that should work, this seems like a common thing i know i need it a lot that really should have a more practical way …neone? or cubase needs an update for this!
