Audio split audible as a glitch - improved in Cubasis 3?

Hi all,

I’m still rocking Cubasis 2, but have noticed when I make an audio split on an audio file, I can actually hear the cut, even if I don’t do anything more. This seems very odd to me. A bug??

Was this improved in Cubasis 3? I’d def upgrade if so, as I use the DAW mainly for audio recording and editing, and I really like the Cubasis workflow.

Also - is there any way to merge two audio clips together as one clip? You can do this in Auria Pro.

Does the track handles are of help here, to add slight fade ins/outs at start and end points?

Using TrackFreeze allows to quickly combine several audio clips into one part.
