Hi, I am having an issue with vocal and guitar tracks when I have a delay inserted before the fader. During playback, I get what sounds like a pre-echo a fraction of a second before the vocal or guitar starts. It doesn’t happen all the time. I can hear it once. Stop. Backup and play again, and it won’t occur. I thought it might be happening when I had time shifted the part back and maybe the delay effect was picking up when the sound started before I shifted it. To get rid of this issue, I tried rendering the track to eliminate the time shift, but that didn’t work. Disabling the delay eliminates the issue. I also tried increasing the buffer size on my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to 1024, but that didn’t help.
Sound like either an issue with the said plugin or maybe thats just how that plugin works. Yoy don’t mention witch plugin you are talking about?
Good point. It happens with the the standard stereo delay and mono delay plugins that come with Cubase pro 10.5
