Just record in real time. Does the turntable connect via usb? I’m guessing it doesn’t have an asio driver? If not then you may have to use something like asio4all on a pc. Not sure what on a Mac. Does the turntable have analogue outputs? If it does then just feed those into the audio interface and record just like any other audio.

The turntable is connected on input 1 and 2 of the audio interface via output t RCA / Jack 1/4".

IMHO WaveLab is the best tool for this. Record the album, then use the Auto Split in the audio editor to set markers. The markers can then be renamed according to the vinyl track names, and batch rendered to MP3 or any other format.

Turntables usually have a weak output signal level on their analog outputs. If I recall correctly their signal is furthermore not output linearly. You might need to use a special phono preamp to get a proper signal into your Behringer mixer.

On the software side I would also use Wavelab for this kind of job.

100% - he will need this… my Behringer Xenyx Control 1 for example has this capability built in, as one of its four dedicated inputs.

If you don’t have an RIAA pre amp, I would use the USB connection of your turn table. (Check the documentation if a driver is required to be installed.)
I would use a simpler software than Cubase to record the audio such as Audacity or Wavelab.

That turntable (Audio Technica lp120 x usb) has a built-in switchable phono preamp.

Either:

  1. Turn on the turntable built-in phono preamp if connecting using RCA via the Behringer interface, or
  2. Connect turntable directly via its USB interface, which is USB Class Compliant so shouldn’t need any extra drivers.

Then download and use Audacity (free) - simpler and suggested by Technics on the turntable product page - select input according to connection method as above, record, save to wav.

If they already got Wavelab, why on Earth would they want to download Audacity?

Use Wavelab if you have it but agreed with everyone else that you need to have the preamp enabled. When you said the turntable had usb I assumed it had a preamp. I use a separate turntable and preamp. Either way you just record in real time as you would a singer or keyboard or guitar. So nothing different about it except making sure you use the preamp. Cubase or Wavelab can do it.

The turntable has a internal pre-ampli in line mode.

Left and right rca cable is connrcted to input1 and inpur2 on the audio intetface.

All is ok

  1. Recording vinyl in cubase in stereo mode on canal right and left simultaneous, put the delimitors and save in wave format in mixdown.

  2. open this file with spectralayers pro for declicking, debruiting and stems séparation.

  3. open this file un cubase for remix.

  4. tomorrow i use wave lab for mastering CD.

You didn’t mention what version of Wavelab, but I think any should do this?

I would do everything in Wavelab as @MrSoundman suggested. No need for Cubase, no need for specralayers as Wavelab has it’s own plus analysis for clicks etc. Then once songs are in Wavelab with the markers that are automatically set, burn it or take what you have to the Wavelab Montage and customize your song spaces.

Is there another reason you need to do this in Cubase and opening it with Spectralayers?

Hello, I’m trying to use the tools I have.
The Wavelab version is Wavelab Go, which seems limited to me.
Recording tests in Cubase have given good results.

I’m using Spectralayers Pro to separate the stems and denoise the recording.

Ok, I don’t use that and it may be that the features needed don’t exist in Wavelab Go. I’m sure someone else will chime in to confirm.

I’ll check if Wavelab Elements can do the job; otherwise, I’ll use Audacity.
