audio wont play while editing midi notes

last nite i ran into this problem all the sudden…never had it before…

so i have my audio sample looped in my project(no FX inserts) …it plays just fine…

i can open my VSTs (omnisphere, nexus etc.) and record midi with no problem and hear my recordings with no problems…

but once i double click the midi data and the edit window opens the audio sample stops playing…all the VSTs are still playing jus not the audio…if i close the window everything goes back to normal and all tracks play…

is there a setting sumwhere that can fix this?

windows 7 64-bit
cubase 5.5 32-bit
8G RAM
Quad Proccessor

Certainly “Solo Editor” is activated…(Toolbar top left)
