AudioGridder Server (remote) not locating some Cubase plugins

Hi -

Though the AudioGridder Server scan on my remote Server Computer is finding most of my plug ins, including many Cubase ones (I have C14 Pro loaded up there), there are some that it is unfortunately not locating.

These seem to be all of them in this folder:

C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 14\VST3\Cubase Plug-in Set.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win\Cubase Plug-in Set.vst3

Unfortunately the missing ones seem to be the latest ones that came out in C14, like Volume, etc.

I’ve typed that path manually into AudioGridder server’s control panel, both including and excluding the last bit:

Cubase Plug-in Set.vst3 , which seems to be a proprietary file.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Thanks!

PS: The ones it has scanned seem to be working great in the DAW Computer on C14 Pro, with limited testing.

Hi,

Do you have working Cubase 14 license on the other computer? I believe, you can’t get the plug-ins withtout the license.

My understanding is that these are “internal” plug-ins that can only run with Cubase as the host. The proof would be that you can see them from inside Cubase on the remote computer (i.e. go to the remote computer, run Cubase, and they’re there) but no other host (i.e. AudioGridder) can detect them.

This is a similar situation to trying to use the “Cubase Plug-in Set.vst3” from within WaveLab.

Thank you @Martin.Jirsak . Yes, as mentioned C14 runs fine on the other, “Server” computer.

Thanks, @MrSoundman . That is so disappointing! Not only are they unusable through AudioGridder, but that means I have to keep track of which Cubase plugins are vs are not limited to the main DAW computer.

But at least good to know one way or another. Thanks again.

Hi,

I’m not 100% sure about this. I think, there is a way, how to show Cubase plug-ins in other host.

@Martin.Jirsak , if you could point me in that direction I’d be grateful,

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Have you tried to copy the Cubase Plug-in Set.vst3 file into the common VST3 folder?

Will do, thanks @Martin.Jirsak, I’d never have thought of that !

I guess your suggestion implies there may be different permissions between the two folders? …

Well, thank you for the hint to try, but unfortunately that didn’t work.

If anyone else thinks there’s a way to use this in AudioGridder, please do chime in.

Otherwise, I guess it’d be best for me to choose to run Steinberg plugins on the primary “DAW Computer” when running AudioGridder.

Thank you!
