Audios project

Hi there im searching where are stored audios file from cubase projetcs

can you help me pls

Hi,
if you create your own audio files by tracking or import audio files and accept to save them in your project you will find these inside your project folder, it’s a folder called ā€œAudioā€.

Thank you Reco29 i see no audio folder in the cubase folder
on my second harddrive i will do some test thanks !

by default where it should be (cubase project) audios?

Hi,
try ā€œFile/Save asā€ without actually doing anything. This should ideally open the location of your Project Folder (you were looking for the Cubase folder…;)) . That’s where you should find a folder which is called ā€œAudioā€.

i do but there is no audio in there,i have to say
that right now im importing waves file to cubase but
there is just my new projects, and also i have not specify to copy
the audios in that folder…

i will report back thank you

Wait, there’s a better way: Open the Project Pool with Ctrl + P (or Cmd + P on a Mac) and have a look at the Audio folder. At the far right you will find a header called ā€œPathā€. This will show you the exact location of each audio file you have used in your project and will reveal the actual location of your well hidden Audio folder.

i’v been able to locate my audio-waves in Project pool, thanks Reco29

I also did find where the ā€˜default’ audio-folders is.

wich is there:

C:\Users\mrmar\OneDrive\Documents\Audio

i then copied this file in cubase-projects on my
2nd hard-drive

thanks

Hi,
as a rule of thumb I would try to keep everything under one hood and have one distinct folder for every project. This main folder should contain the *cpr (the Cubase project file) as well as all other related folders.
There are use cases when you want to have more than one project within the main folder - of course, that is all up to you. As I said - it’s a rule of thumb and not a law (cause there are none when it comes to project organization…).

Something that is also good to know - the Back Up Project function in Cubase.
