I am Vinay Kapadia from India. I purchased Cubase Pro 8.5 Education Version from Ebay. On packet there is an instruction " This software can be activated and is officially supported only within US. so I am worried about authorization issue. Please let me know whether it will work and supported or not.
I guess that you need to try to get your money back, if possible, or write it off.

- EDU licences are personal and can’t be transferred. Since you bought it on Ebay, I gather it’s second hand.

This has been discussed before- even though the packages bears that statement, people have been able to perform the activation from other locations.
New items are indeed sold on Ebay, by authorized dealers, so making the assumption that it is used would be inaccurate. Also if the activation code works, this will show that the item is new, since activation codes can only be used once.
