Auto backup activated in most versions Cubase n Pro 8.5.
Hi , every time auto backs up , it makes several different copies of backup , which takes up huge Hard disk space , and then more time, spent on , to edit it and delete it , whats the point of this , of course back up is great necessity , but it could be just one copy , and it overwrites the last backup, I think we have history right ? where we can un do or redo every move we made , are there any plus points in the way it is now ? Several .Bak up copies? thanks ws

What happens is during auto-save a new cpr is created and the previous one is changed to a bak file.

The max number of bak files can be set in preferences.

If your main project is corrupted and it was already corrupted before the last auto save when you’ve set this to only one bak file then your work is lost or you have to restore from your external backup that (if you’re like me) you probably don’t update as often as you should .

well, I see your point , n Updates will be done frequently from now on , Thanks ws
