Is there a trick to automatically set the cycle markers to the clip and turn on cycling when recording is deactivated? So it would auto loop what you have just recorded without a gap in playback. I like to work with odd length loops off grid so pre defining the loop length doesn’t work for me.

To set Left and Right locators to the currently selected event, press P Key Command (Transport > Locators > Set Locators to Selection Range). To activate Cycle, use Num / Key Command. You can make a Macro out of it.
Thats what I have been doing. I will look into making a macro though. I wonder if will be instant as soon as recording stops it continues playing the new loop or if I will need to press play again.
